One of the things I just don't get is how CBS or 60 minutes will ever regain their credibility. The entire reason that 60 minutes exists used to be that it was willing to speak truth to power. Now that it has shown itself too cowardly to do so, it serves absolutely no purpose. I'm sure CBS, just like the Washington Post, will continue to do some good work. But they have shredded all the trust the 60 minutes viewer ever had. Network news has been in sharp decline and I used to care. Now it's good riddance, and to hell with you.
I think that perhaps destroying the credibility of ALL news outlets is the point. When a population loses touch with reality beyond their front doors, they become malleable. When you can’t trust anyone at all, the bigs - as I call them - can do whatever they want. They don’t need your faith, they just need your fear and inability to act independently.
I agree that this is what Trump wants. It's frustrating that CBS doesn't seem to know what is ultimately in their own best interest. Perhaps it DOES make sense if you assume they don't really care about the credibility of their news operation. Much more money to be made elsewhere, I suppose.

How much would I LIKE to see Trump locked in one of these cells for just one week. And Christy Noem and Blondi and Patel and Vance and Homan and BOVE and Little Mikie and Comer and Jim Jordan and Cruz and Scott and Hessert and Trump Jr and Eric and Lutnick and Musk and VOIGHT. Maybe I missed a few but locked in same exact conditions. JUST for one week. Plus regular beating and pulling on their private parts. Identical conditions. JUST for one week. I'd think that we could build a duplicate facility like COCET. Same walls, cells, bunks? stacked four levels high. Drink same water that you bathe in and toilet in. 100%. forget impeachment. JUST put all of Trump, Vance and his cabinet in. Plus a few good GOP congressmen.

It’s not the production staff, reporters, or editors of 60 Minutes that pulled this story. It’s the owner of Paramount, who is in bed with Trump and his criminal administration. Weiss is just a pawn on their game board. There’s no limit to the shame and disgraceful actions that the Trump presidencies are responsible for, all done under a waving American flag.
