On Monday, I exclusively reported that the LAPD's handling of the missing person's report on Shelly Miscavige -- wife of Scientology leader David Miscavige, who has not been seen in public in over 15 years -- raised alarming concerns about their deviation from standard law enforcement procedures. The missing persons report, filed by Leah Remini on August 5, 2013, just one month after she left Scientology, and the circumstances surrounding Shelly's disappearance have been a great source of controversy for both the LAPD and Scientology.
I have now updated my story with complete pages of the LAPD documents I obtained during my investigation.

My revised report includes the fingerprint sheet that the LAPD used to collect Shelly's thumbprints and the two lab reports from LAPD technicians, which show that they deemed the prints unsuitable for matching and inconclusive in an attempted match with the thumbprint Shelly had on file at the DMV. The update also includes the two alerts the LAPD sent to the NECS, an internal law enforcement communication system.
In addition, I've included two screenshots from the security camera footage of the coffee shop where the woman identifying herself as Shelly Miscavige and her Scientology attorney met with two LAPD detectives. Despite multiple cameras in the shop, the footage was inexplicably scrambled.
Finally, I have included a never-before-seen photo of Shelly. Shelly's former colleague, Claire Headley, gave me this photo. Claire and her husband, Marc, escaped from Scientology's Gold Base, located in Riverside County, California, in 2005.
