It's not just the crush, obviously. He's obsessed with thinking he 'saved NBC' and getting credit for it. As others have said, anytime Trump tells a 'Sir' story, it's a lie. Why would Debra Messing call Trump 'Sir"? She wouldn't have, of course, Trump wants to flatter himself that Messing thought he was deserving of a higher title.
He's obsessed with talking about someone who slighted him, more insulting to him because she's beautiful, so he can't insult her in the way he usually does for other women. Anyone who is still obsessed to a reporter over a one time meeting 15 years ago is not an emotionally healthy person. But everyone knows that already, this is just another example.
